What their business model will be is still up in the air, so I recommend using their service with caution (especially for the long term). Through the course of the day, the site’s maintainer, Jai Gupta, and I exchanged a number of emails and I’m thoroughly convinced that as long as Key To School is around, it will be a free service. Nevertheless, as is the case with all things free, use with caution, and be sure to backup your own courses regularly.
If you’re a teacher just starting with Moodle, and want to get some experience with the software, free really isn’t a bad deal.

found this the other day. it seemed too good to be true – maybe it’s not? What are the drawbacks of this site? For example, what are some premium services not offered here that pay sites might offer?
I also found it last night. I was trying to figure out if I could restore a course I had hosted somewhere else and did a back up of. But, I guess after reading about it here, it is legit.

Yes, you will be able to restore your course. You can also restore your full database.
