This site will be my first sincere attempt to document my thoughts and findings on education, technology, and nonsense. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time, but until now have been too preoccupied to fully realize.
Here’s how this blog will work:
- I follow a considerably large number of blogs and media sites in search of stuff that’s cool. Whenever I find it, I’ll share it here as an “inline aside.” You’ll know them when you see them: they are the smaller posts with little headings.
- Clicking on an aside header will take you to the site I’m sharing. To comment on an aside, you will have to click the “Permalink” in the lower left-hand corner of the entry.
- Whenever I have something more substantial to say, I will post a longer real post like the one you’re reading now. You will note that this post has a large heading that, once clicked, leads you to the individual post where you can comment to your heart’s content.
- I make no commitment to how frequently I post, but, by adding the asides, I assure you I will be highly motivated to post much more often (think personal social bookmarking).
- I will categorize every post into one (or more) of three categories: education, technology and/or nonsense. I write about education because that’s what I do, technology because that’s what I obsess about, and nonsense because life is just too short to be serious all the time.
- This post, by the way, is categorized as nonsense.
Of course, since this is a new domain, new design and this is my first sincere attempt at writing for an audience, your feedback is much appreciated. Is anything broken? Do you have any suggestions for how I could make it better?
Enjoy.
